On February 25, replacing Don McIvor, Tony Coscia will present A
Brief History of Black Gold. He will describe the early
development of the petroleum industry by focusing on the colorful
people who were responsible for its success. A little science is
introduced to explain the importance and versatility of black gold.
Dr. Coscia spent 30 years at American Cyanamid, where he managed
groups in water treating chemicals, paper technology, and mining
reagents. He has been granted more than a hundred patents worldwide
( a few of which relate to enhanced oil recovery). |
